Wayne Ellington founded the Manchester Sing Out Choir in 2006, building on the foundation of his innovative ‘Sing Out Project’ initiated in London in 2001. Bringing his visionary ideas and exceptional talent to Manchester in 2002, Wayne transformed the choir landscape of the region.

In 2016, on the cusp of its 10th anniversary, the Manchester Sing Out Choir transitioned into Manchester Inspirational Voices, celebrating a new chapter with a fresh name and renewed purpose. Wayne’s remarkable gift and visionary leadership have reverberated across the UK and Europe, spreading his profound love for gospel and inspirational music.

Wayne’s mission to introduce or reintroduce faith through the powerful medium of gospel and inspirational singing has uplifted and enriched countless individuals, fostering positive spiritual growth. The choir’s unity fosters a profound sense of camaraderie and excitement, with performances that are both moving and passionate. Their remarkable vocal harmonies and intricate musical arrangements, whether in original compositions or covers, embody a vision of hope that resonates throughout the community.

Manchester Inspirational Voices draws members from a wide array of locations in the North West U.K., including Bolton, Warrington, Stockport, Denton, Rochdale, Old Trafford, Chorlton, Didsbury, Salford, Trafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Ashton-under-Lyne, Reddish, Oldham, Moss Side, Hulme, Whitefield, Wythenshawe, Timperley, Altrincham, Macclesfield, and beyond.
